Molly’s National Pyjama Day Fundraiser

This year, as part of the team at First Grammar Gumnut Drive, I am proud to be helping lead our centre’s National Pyjama Day fundraiser in support of The Pyjama Foundation.

Working in early childhood, I see every day how important it is for children to feel safe, supported, connected, and believed in. Every child deserves to have someone in their corner, encouraging them, guiding them, and helping them feel confident in who they are and what they can achieve.

For many children in foster care, life can feel uncertain. Frequent moves between homes, schools, and communities can disrupt their learning, relationships, and sense of stability.

That is why The Pyjama Foundation’s work is so important. Through their Pyjama Angel mentoring program, children in foster care are matched with a dedicated volunteer mentor who supports them with reading, learning, confidence, and connection.

By leading our Pyjama Day fundraiser at First Grammar Gumnut Drive, I am hoping to help raise awareness and funds for a cause that supports some of the children who need it most.

Every donation, big or small, helps The Pyjama Foundation recruit, screen, train, and match Pyjama Angels with children in foster care.

Together, we can help children in care feel supported, valued, and confident enough to dream big and believe in themselves.
