Journey Early Learning North Mackay CLT Team Takes on National Pyjama Day 2026

At Journey Early Learning North Mackay, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

This year, our Centre Leadership Team (CLT), educators, children, and families are coming together to support an incredible cause through National Pyjama Day 2026. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for The Pyjama Foundation, helping to provide educational support, mentoring, and brighter futures for children living in foster care.

For many children in foster care, life can be challenging. Frequent changes in living arrangements, disrupted education, and experiences of trauma can create barriers to learning and development. The Pyjama Foundation works to change this by connecting children with dedicated volunteer mentors, known as "Pyjama Angels," who provide learning support, confidence-building opportunities, and positive role models.

As educators, we understand the importance of nurturing children's potential and creating environments where they feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed. Supporting The Pyjama Foundation aligns closely with our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children, both within our centre and throughout our wider community.

To reach our fundraising goal, we will be hosting a variety of exciting events and activities, including:

🎬 Family Movie Night ($2 per family)
🎁 Lucky door prizes
🎟️ Mystery Prize Number Board
🧺 Family Hamper Raffles
⭐ Guessing competitions and fundraising challenges
👕 National Pyjama Day celebrations with our children and educators

We are also seeking support from local businesses and community members through donations of vouchers, products, services, and raffle prizes. Every contribution, big or small, will help us move closer to our goal and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in foster care.
