Join me in making a difference for foster kids!

This Pyjama Day, I am wearing my PJs to raise vital funds for kids in foster care - because every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

As someone whose family took in emergency foster care kids, I know that basic needs are not always met. I also have a passion for advocacy around Hereditary Connective Tissue Disorders (HCTDs). Having been on my own challenging journey to diagnosis despite many privileges, I am certain that there are many within or having come through foster care who have remained undiagnosed. They would face many extra challenges to diagnosis including having someone to advocate for them, or even family history to connect the dots.

Despite my own university education and experience as a Registered Nurse, it still took me years to find my way to answers. The experience of those less fortunate than I would make the journey near impossible. That is why I choose to support National Pyjama Day, and the work towards education that the foundation provides.

It is also why I fight for awareness around HCTDs, so kids like those in foster care can rely on health professionals to see the signs and provide answers and appropriate care.

Every donation, big or small, makes a real impact.

Help us reach our goal and give these kids the support they deserve.

With hope and thanks,

A.K. xx
