Yarm Gwanga Children's Committee's Pyjama Day

Inspired by the Voice of our Children This event is particularly special to us because it began with a child’s voice. After coming to centre in their favourite pyjamas, one of our children suggested we have a whole "PJ Day" for everyone. Our Children’s Committee embraced this idea with open arms, deciding to use the day to help other children across Australia who are navigating the foster care system.

A Cause Close to Our Heart This mission is deeply personal for Yarm Gwanga. Within our own community, we have families, educators, and children who are involved in the foster care journey in many different ways. We understand that while every child’s path is unique, the need for consistent, loving support is universal.

Why Your Support Matters Frequent moves between homes and schools can disrupt a child’s learning and sense of stability. By wearing our PJs and raising funds, we are helping The Pyjama Foundation provide a "Pyjama Angel" mentor to children who need them most. These volunteer mentors do more than just help with homework; they build the confidence and love of learning that allows a child to reach their full potential.
