How to prepare for your PJ day

Encourage your team to wear their favourite PJs, slippers, socks, or onesies. You can even create a fun theme for the day such as retro sleepwear or colourful prints to get everyone excited.

Fundraising Ideas

Decorate the office

Using all the goodies that have arrived in your host kit, hang up the bunting, posters and balloons, and add whatever else you like to make your space feel comfy and fun. Your team captain can download your team’s fundraising QR code from their fundraising dashboard. Print it out and encourage everyone to share and donate! Host a morning tea

Bring in some baked goods and take gold coin donations for a treat! You could also encourage people to donate the cost of their morning coffee, a small gesture that makes a big difference for children in care.  

Run a raffle or lucky dip

Ask local businesses or team members to donate small prizes like chocolates, coffee vouchers or candles. Sell tickets throughout the day and draw winners at the end of the day! We even have downloadable Pyjama Day raffle tickets available to make it extra easy. 

Office library

Get team members to bring in books for an office book swap! Collect donations for each book you’d like to borrow. This idea will bring your team together to celebrate the joy of reading, while also gifting that to a vulnerable young person, we’d call that a win-win!  

Set up a photobooth

Download our photo booth props from the online resources and set up a cosy corner with pillows and blankets. Capture memories and share the fun on social media and/or your newsletters. Don’t forget to tag us (@thepyjamafoundation) when you share it on your social media! 

After your Pyjama Day

Share your impact

Let your community know how your Pyjama Day went. Share why you participated, how much you raised, and the difference it makes. Raising awareness is just as important as raising funds for foster children as they need help from caring adults like you. 

Say thank you

Share a thank you with your community. All of the contributions including wearing their PJs, helping to organise the event, or donations are the vital part of National Pyjama Day to empower foster children. We have a Thank You certificate for you to download on our online resources.
