Welcome to National Pyjama Day 2025!

Thank you so much for getting involved to help foster kids dream big! If you’re feeling stuck while planning your Pyjama Day, look no further! Here are five ideas to make your Pyjama Day at school or daycare the best one yet!

Bake Sale

Encourage students, families, and staff to bake their favourite sweet or savoury treats and bring them in for a bake sale! Sell them during lunch to raise funds.

Optional: Have a “best bake” competition with categories like “most creative”, best presentation”, and “tastiest treat” and have teachers and students to judge!

Games Tournament

Set up your classroom or hall into a cosy games tournament arena for the afternoon. Invite students and teachers to come dressed in their comfiest Pyjamas and bring a pillow or blanket to be extra cosy!

Optional: Ask for a small donation (e.g., gold coin) for entry. You can also prepare a prize for the winner!

PJ Day Carnival

Set up a mini carnival, full of games like ring toss, bean bag throw, or guessing jars. Charge a small fee to play and offer fun prizes or certificates!

Optional: Create a photobooth section with props you can download from our resource page.

Class Fundraising Challenge

Sprinkle a bit of friendly competition between classes to see who can raise the most donations. Track progress with a visual chart and reward the winning class with a treat or extra recess.

Optional: To encourage students to get involved, give the winning class a pizza party!

“Teacher Dare”

Motivate the whole school to reach a fundraising goal with an exciting incentive - if the school hits a goal, a teacher (or a few brave volunteers) does something silly. This could be wearing a silly costume, doing a dance or being part of a water fight! You can be as creative as possible!

Pyjama Day is not only a fun and comfy day but it also gives foster children the one-on-one support they need to reach their full potential. Every contribution helps to transform the lives of children in care. We’re so excited for National Pyjama Day 2025, and we hope these ideas help to make it the best PJ Day yet!
